The Vincent Mandola Family, for over 38 years, has been proud to share authentic Italian recipes passed down from generations.
Vincent and Mary Mandola, childhood sweethearts, began their dream with the opening of Nino’s Restaurant in 1977. This exciting story was inspired by family, determination and a vision. One small quaint restaurant grew into a city block of Tuscan and Sicilian inspired venues.
Their two daughters, Vinceanne and Dana joined the empire in the early 90’s, fresh out of college. They worked alongside their parents and helped to continue the dream. For the love of food, culture, family and friends this helped them thrive and succeed in the growth of Nino’s, Vincent’s, Grappino di Nino, La Gelateria and Pronto Cucinino.
Through their travels, the family has been inspired to bring Houston the tasteful foods and wines of Italy. The relationships they have formed with pasta and olive oil producers, well known wine makers have influenced today’s menus. Nino’s, Vincent’s, La Gelateria, Grappino di Nino and Pronto Cucinino are still owned and operated by the Vincent Mandola Family.
